The whole creation is a reverberation and reverberation mean sound energy. One can hear and saw the revelations of the Universe in the form of sounds by doing sever penance (Tapasya). One who can do this can obtain all sorts of cosmic knowledge and attain the supreme reality. And this is how Vedas have been heard and written on texts.
Vedas are the oldest known sources of knowledge in the world. Rigveda which Indian scholars consider to be more than twenty to ten thousand years old and Western scholars consider it to be about five thousand to three thousand years old. It is known from the evidence and references of his mantras (richas) that the eternal Vedic civilization was born in India. It is the oldest living civilization in the world which has its own independent knowledge tradition and research methods which has been surprising the whole world with its knowledge skills. According to Vedas, there are four pillars of Sanatan Vedic civilization which we call Varna system. According to this, Brahman, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra have been called four varnas. These varnas were an integral part of the vedic society, so according to their work skills, nature of work, social and physical needs of villages and cities, town plans were made to settle villages and cities in ancient India.
Sthaaptya ved is the science of establishment of the structures. This is vast, deep and very much practical and relevant even today. It is an inquisitive science of architecture which encapsulates the forces which act upon a given space through the flow of positive energy. It is the sacred holistic science pertaining to designing and building of houses.
Sthaaptya Ved - which a layman knows as Vastu - has deep impact, and is impacted by the life style. Highlighting few points, which impacts :
1. Bhoomi selection (भूमि चयन) : Most people consider the principles after buying land or a plot. This is why they end up facing issues even after ensuring everything in the house is in the right place. So, how does one prevent such issues? Selecting a plot as per the principles invites positivity into the property. Apart from the shape, the location; colour, smell, water retention capacity, density of the soil plays major role. The ancient science offers very simple and authentic tests to ensure clarity.
2. Shalya shodhan (शल्य शोधन) : Impurities are in way unwanted hidden energies which need to be removed and thrown out- just like cancer cells, which are operated to continue normal functioning. Whatever is buried deep inside tells the history of the land; what was stored in past, and what is in store for future. Ancient texts suggest ways for the removal of the same and minimising the negative impact. This is a necessary step.
3. Marm Sthaan (मर्म स्थान) : The delicate and sensitive parts need to be handled with due care. These should not have load bearing, deep excavations as it affects negatively on the energy. These are basically emery power points, and should be kept positively charged.
4. Matrika Vigyaan (मातृका विज्ञान) : This is the ancient science of Hindi varnmala (alphabets). Every letter has a specific shape, size, colour - called as Pratima Vigyaan - which denotes its energy. To evoke this energy, the alphabets should be used accordingly. It also gives psychological impact. This can be used for branding, naming of the project/premise, in the lobby, in the interior; in fact

6. Garbh Sthaapna (गर्भ स्थापना) : What you instill deep is what you get as the result. At the center of the premise,

औषधि : वच, कूट, चन्दन, जटामांसी, शुन्ति, नागरमोथा, आम्बा हल्दी,
खनिज : जाति हिन्गुलय, हरिताल, माक्षी, मन:शिला, राजावर्त, गौरिक, अंजन, गंधक.
All are mixed in a copper container and mercury (as it is the best conductor) is spread over it. All these are installed (sthaapit) at the centre of the premise, to spread the positivity to the entire area.
7. Material selection : Every direction, that is every zone is governed by different energies. To get the best result or the outcome, the materials used, let it be in interior or exterior of the premise should be selected in a way which are compatible to that particular energy zone so that it will help in growth.
The principal designer Rashmi Tiwari is a graduate in interior designing with an experience of 20+ years in the field of interior designing. She is the alumni of DAVV, Devi Ahilya, Vishwavidyalaya.
She completed her Masters in Sthaaptya Ved in 2004, Wherein she was a gold medallist and an all-India topper. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in Sthaaptya Ved from Maharishi Panini Vishwavidyalaya Ujjain.
Her designs have a penchant for functionalism. Simple, yet elegant and functional designs are her forte. She has catered to all the different verticals of different scales- be it Residential, commercial, corporate, warehouses, stall designs - For that matter anything - She makes the space beautiful in her own way and that too, in different cities, states and countries.
With an eye for the small details, she has been able to create spaces which are user friendly. Comfort for the client has been her USP.
Academically, she has been involved in translation of original text in Sanskrit to Hindi and English. Also have been Visiting faculty at different colleges and universities.
